Golden Mountains is a next-gen trading robot for the XAUUSD pair that successfully applies the multiplicative weight update method (MWUM) on the indicators that it uses for trading. This confirmed methodology is as simple as it is effective: MWUM assigns a "weight" to the various indicators, based on how well the given indicator(s) performed in delivering profits to the trader. Let's say for example an EA uses the commodity channel index and the DeMarker to trade. If out of 10 trades, 7 have been successful due to an accurate prediction of the DeMarker, the MWUM algorithm assigns a specific weight to that indicator, which gives it preferential treatment the next time the EA wants to open a position.

The assignment of weights happens both iteratively as well as multiplicatively. In other words, the longer this EA trades, the more accurate its predictions become as it increases the weight of the well-performing indicator while decreasing the weight of the underperforming one. This gives you a competitive edge over other traders in the market, which in turn increases your chance of coming out as a victorious winner!
