⭐ IMPORTANT TIME SETTING (GMT OFFSET)

Veritas EA uses complex time-based filters. For them to work correctly, it is critically important to properly synchronize the robot's time with your broker's time.

In the BrokerDataGMTOffset parameter, you must specify your broker's time offset relative to GMT. For example:

• If your broker's time is GMT+3, set the setting to 3.
• If your broker's time is GMT+2, set the setting to 2.

You can usually find the GMT offset on your broker's website or in the "Market Watch" window in the terminal. An incorrect setting will cause the news filter to trigger at the wrong time.

⚠️ AN IMPORTANT NOTE ON BACKTESTING

Run tests on live accounts, as demo quotes can differ.

Use the "Every Tick Based on Real Ticks" modeling mode for 99.9% quality.

Backtest results will differ from live trading! The News Filter only works in real-time and cannot analyze future news on historical data.

Input Parameters Explained

• ShowStats: true/false — enables or disables the information panel on the chart.
• MagicNumber: The unique number for the robot's orders.
• BrokerDataGMTOffset: The most important parameter for time synchronization. Specify your broker's GMT offset (e.g., "3" for GMT+3).
• EnableNewsFilter: true/false — enable/disable the news filter.
• NewsBlockMinutesBefore: How many minutes before a news release to stop trading.
• NewsBlockMinutesAfter: How many minutes after a news release to avoid trading.
• FilterHighImpact/MediumImpact/LowImpact: true/false — filter news of high, medium, or low importance.
• ShowNewsOnChart: true/false — shows lines for upcoming news on the chart.

Please do not disable the news filter if you do not want to run into large drawdowns. Do not interfere with the algorithm's work.
