Loop EA – External Settings Explained (Detailed)

SeparateBuySell
Enable or disable separate trailing stop logic for buy and sell trades. When enabled, the EA manages trailing stops for buy and sell positions independently, allowing for more precise control over each trade direction.

ATR_Period
Sets the number of bars used to calculate the Average True Range (ATR) for the trailing stop. A higher value makes the trailing stop less sensitive to short-term price fluctuations, providing a smoother trailing stop.

ATR_MultipliedBy
Multiplier for the ATR value to determine the trailing stop distance. Increasing this value makes the trailing stop wider, giving trades more room to breathe before being closed.

Spread_MultipliedBy
Multiplier for the current spread, used to adjust the trailing stop distance based on market spread. This helps the trailing stop adapt to changing trading costs and market conditions.

AverageVolume_LastXBars
Number of bars to use when calculating the average trading volume for the trailing stop logic. This helps the EA assess recent market activity and adjust the trailing stop accordingly.

AverageVolume_MultipliedBy
Multiplier for the average volume value, allowing you to fine-tune how much recent trading volume influences the trailing stop distance.

Distance_Points
Sets the minimum distance in points for the trailing stop to move. This prevents the stop from being set too close to the current price, reducing the chance of premature stop-outs.

AutoTF
Enable or disable automatic timeframe selection for the trailing stop calculation. When enabled, the EA can switch timeframes based on market conditions or your preferences.

AutoTF_M1, AutoTF_M5, AutoTF_M15, AutoTF_M30, AutoTF_H1, AutoTF_H4, AutoTF_D1, AutoTF_W1, AutoTF_MN1
Enable or disable specific timeframes for automatic selection in the trailing stop logic. For example, if AutoTF_M5 is enabled, the EA can use the M5 (5-minute) chart for trailing stop calculations.

Timeframe (If AutoTF=false)
Manually set the trading timeframe for the trailing stop calculation if automatic selection is disabled.

LotSize
Set the fixed lot size for each trade. This determines the volume of each position opened by the EA.

LotMultiplierForLossTrade (<=0:Inactive)
Multiplier for the lot size after a losing trade. If set to 2.0, the next trade after a loss will be double the previous lot size (martingale logic), helping to recover losses in the next profitable trade.

StopLossInPoints
Set the stop loss distance in points for each trade. The EA will close the trade if the price moves against you by this amount.

TakeProfitInPoints
Set the take profit distance in points for each trade. The EA will close the trade when this profit target is reached.

Indicator_Name

CloseAllTradesOnXPercentLoss (<=0 means inactive)
Set the maximum percentage loss allowed before all trades are closed to protect your account. If set to 0 or less, this feature is inactive. When the threshold is reached, the EA will close all open trades to avoid deeper drawdowns, as required by many prop firm rules.

MaxSpread (0 means inactive)
Maximum allowed spread for opening new trades. If the spread is higher, the EA will not open trades. Set to 0 to disable this filter.(The numbers shown on the screen may be different depending on your broker. If the EA is not opening positions, you may need to adjust these values.)

Trailing Mode
Select the method used for trailing stop management. Options may include ATR (Average True Range) or Points. ATR mode adjusts the trailing stop dynamically based on market volatility, while Points mode uses a fixed distance.

Trailing Start
Sets the profit level (in points or ATR value, depending on the selected mode) at which the trailing stop will begin to activate. Before this level is reached, the trailing stop will not move.

BreakEven Properties

Enable or disable the break-even feature. When enabled, the EA will move your stop loss to break even after a certain profit is reached, protecting your trade from turning into a loss.

Profit in points required before the stop loss is moved to break even.

Distance in points to set the stop loss after moving to break even.

ReduceBE_SL_ForLotSizeCalc
Reduces the calculation distance value used in lot size calculations when break-even is active. This is useful when there are small differences in closed trades (by a few points) due to calculation imprecision, ensuring more accurate risk management.

News Filter Properties

NewsFilter
Enable or disable the news filter. When enabled, the EA will avoid trading during news events, which can cause unpredictable market moves.

HoldForNews
If enabled, the EA will pause trading during news events, holding off on opening new trades.

Include high / medium / low / speaks / holidays
Select which types of news events to consider for the filter (high, medium, low impact, speeches, or holidays).

MinutesBeforeNews
Number of minutes before a news event when the EA will stop trading. The EA will close active trades before news, which is especially important for prop firm accounts that restrict trading during news and to avoid large, sudden market moves.

MinutesAfterNews
Number of minutes after a news event when the EA will resume trading. After this period, positions need to be opened manually again, or the EA will open them automatically based on the next incoming signal from your chosen indicator.

Multiplier for lot size when opening trades after a news event, especially if previous trades were losses.Recommended keep default.

Time Filter Properties
