Dual Regime Switch – Trend and Mean Reversion (USDJPY M15 recommended)
Overview
- This EA judges trend direction and the degree of deviation using the H4 moving average and automatically switches the trading mode.
- Normal: Trend mode. Entries from pullbacks on M15.
- Large deviation: Revert mode. Detects overextension and enters after an M15 reversal confirmation (mean-reversion/contra-trend).
- We recommend holding 1 simultaneous position with this EA.
- No averaging, no martingale, no grid.
- * Supports hedging and netting accounts.
- Automatically detects range conditions to pause trading and mitigate drawdown streaks. It will resume automatically when trend conditions return.
- Lot size is calculated from stop distance using a risk % based on account balance and is auto-adjusted within the range of Lot_Min to Lot_Max you set.
- SL, TP, and BE (break-even) adapt to volatility. Each mode has its own design.
- BE is two-stage to protect profits when price reverses before reaching TP.
*Note (Netting accounts)
On MT5 netting accounts, only one position per symbol can be held.
Therefore, if you run multiple EAs on the same symbol at the same time, the position/SL-TP/BE, etc. are shared and EAs interfere with each other (MagicNumber cannot isolate in netting).
Parallel use with other EAs on the same symbol is not recommended. If you operate multiple EAs simultaneously, consider using a separate account (hedging/sub-account) or different symbols.

Setup
- With default parameters, attach the EA to USD/JPY M15 (Algo Trading ON) as the recommended start.
- Set position risk and lot size (see Parameters).
- Parameter examples for other pairs/timeframes will be released after verification.
- VPS (24/7) is recommended.
Parameters (key items)
- Inp_MaxSpread_Pips: Maximum spread allowed for entries. Default 3 pips.
- Inp_Switch_K: Threshold of moving-average deviation for mode switching. Higher values make Revert mode less likely to trigger.
- TRN_Risk_Percent: Risk per position in Trend mode as a % of account balance. Default 1.2%.
- REV_Risk_Percent: Risk per position in Revert mode as a % of account balance. Default 1.2%.
- Inp_Lot_Min: Minimum allowed lot size. *Match your broker’s minimum. Default 0.01.
- Inp_Lot_Max: Maximum allowed lot size. *Do not exceed your broker’s maximum. Default 5.0.
- Inp_MagicBase: Set to a non-zero value to avoid collisions when running with other EAs. Default 60012.
* You can increase simultaneous positions by changing Inp_MaxSimultaneousPositions, but we recommend 1 simultaneous position. Default is 1.
Cautions
- During major news or thin-liquidity hours, spread widening may cause rejections (grace delay) or slippage.
- Past performance does not guarantee future results. Start with demo or low risk.
- Use high-quality history for backtests (Real Ticks / 99%+ recommended).
- When using multiple EAs, avoid MagicNumber duplication.
- Sudden gaps while holding positions may cause unexpected losses.
