Overview

FLEQBA Pro – Indicator Description

This indicator is designed for MetaTrader 5 users to visually track the trading of their own strategies or expert advisors (robots) both retrospectively and in real time.
Its graphical display makes a trading strategy or robot’s performance much clearer and easier to understand than raw numbers alone.

The indicator does more than simply display data: it analyzes, rates, and produces statistics, which can be retrieved instantly via on-chart buttons.
A built-in filter allows you to organize data by time, symbol, magic number, comment, or any combination of these.
With just a few clicks you can separately review the results of multiple robots or even your own manual trades.

Buttons and Their Functions

Bottom-Left Corner

  • [PS] Period Separator – Toggles chart period separators on and off. Helpful for setting a Custom time range.
  • [SS] ScreenShot – Take a screenshot at any time.
  • [TI] Trade Information – Marks trade events on candles with small dots and arrows. Can be toggled on/off.

Display Modes

  • [PA] Plot All – Displays both Balance and Equity.
  • [PB] Plot Balance – Displays Balance changes only.
  • [PE] Plot Equity – Displays Equity changes only.

Data Source Selection

  • [DB] Data based on Balance – Shows deposits, withdrawals, credits, profits, and losses together.
  • [DP] Data based on P&L – Shows pure trading profit and loss, excluding deposits and withdrawals.
  • [DF] Data based on Zero Balance – Keeps Balance at zero and shows only floating equity, clearly highlighting trade volatility.
  • [G] Graph – Draws a graph (based on the DB/DP mode) where each change is plotted consecutively, ignoring time gaps—similar to Excel or HTML reports.

Bottom-Right Corner – Time Interval

The selected time period determines which results appear in the statistics and report panel on the right side of the indicator:

  • [T] Today – Data for today only.
  • [W] This Week – Data for the current calendar week (not the last 7 days).
  • [M] This Month – Data for the current month (not the last 30 days).
  • [Y] This Year – Data for the current year (not the last 365 days).
  • [E] Entire History – All trades since the account was opened.
  • [C] Custom time – Lets you set any custom time span using movable Time Line markers on the chart.
  • [|<] [>|] Scroll Buttons – If there is no meaningful or changing data in the chosen period, these buttons point you to where data exists and let you jump to the start or end of the range.
  • [FI] Filters – Opens a dialog to filter data by symbol, magic number, or comment. Multiple conditions are combined with a logical AND, so all must match.

Magic number filter examples:

  • 28 – exact match
  • 28* – starts with 28
  • *28 – ends with 28
  • *28* – contains 28 anywhere

The same patterns apply to comments. Searching within comments is case-sensitive. Enter filter conditions carefully to avoid missing results.

Top-Right Corner – Statistics and Analysis

  • [A] Account Information – Displays account details.
  • [B] Balance Information – Shows balance changes.
  • [P] Profit or Loss – Displays profit/loss; weekly and yearly modes provide more detail.
  • [F] Floating Result – Shows the current status of open positions.
  • [Q] Quick Strategy Rating – Uses a built-in algorithm to give a strategy evaluation (informational only).
  • [S] Statistics – All other statistical data.

All displayed figures are always calculated according to the selected time period and filter conditions.

Usage Tips

  • Double-click inside the indicator window to hide or restore labels and buttons.
  • All selected views are automatically saved, even after symbol changes, timeframe switches, or platform restarts.

Why so many buttons?
Because they spare you from repeatedly editing the MetaTrader settings window—a tedious and error-prone task. With on-chart controls you always know exactly what data you are viewing.

Historical Report

The indicator creates a visual performance report from the data that match the chosen time period and filters. Each point is evaluated by symbol, trade direction, and volume, highlighting the worst result for each period using High and Low prices.
The smaller the timeframe, the more detailed the output. The data are not tick-precise, so they are for informational purposes only.

Important Information

You cannot attach two indicators with the same Unique ID to one chart.
Existing IDs are displayed in the indicator name. If a duplicate ID is used, MetaTrader simply will not load the new instance.

General Settings

As mentioned earlier, I am not a fan of repeatedly using the FLEQBA Properties window. That is why FLEQBA stores all parameters that usually need to be set only once in a single .ini configuration file.
After the first launch you will find it here:

\MQL5\Files\FLEQBA\FLEQBA_Settings.ini

Once you have reviewed and set your preferences, you will rarely need to open it again. Every new instance of FLEQBA automatically reads the parameters from this file.

To refresh after editing:

  • Save the .ini file.
  • Double-click any running FLEQBA indicator to hide its on-chart buttons and labels, then double-click again to reload them with the new configuration.
  • If you also want to refresh the colored dots and arrows marking trade events, toggle the [TI] button off and on.

Back Test

During a Back Test there is no real trading history and no active positions for the indicator to interpret.
If you use a template (tester.tpl) together with an Expert Advisor, visual data will be displayed, but the buttons will not work—this is a limitation of MetaTrader 5. In live trading, however, the indicator becomes your true companion.

Practical Purpose

The indicator is designed to give a simple and well-structured view of your own or your robots’ trading. Instead of repeatedly editing MT5 input settings, you can switch views, filters, and data sources with a single click.

This makes FLEQBA ideal for touch-screen use as well.

Because I use this indicator myself every day, I can offer private assistance if you encounter any issues. Before leaving negative feedback, please contact me first—problems often turn out to be configuration issues or MetaTrader 5 limitations. Feel free to write your feedback in your own language—no translator needed.
