Universal Expert Smart Investor: A Comprehensive Overview

The algorithm of this expert is primarily aimed at investors and traders for the medium term. In this regard, it is recommended to use it on timeframes higher than H1, even more optimally - on H4 and D1. The higher the timeframe, the more positions are held in order to increase profits. The smaller the timeframe, the greater the likelihood of opening a larger number of averaging positions. For H4 and D1, this can be from 1 to 3 months. It is also recommended that the expert work automatically with several instruments simultaneously, which will ensure account diversification in order to reduce risks and regularly receive stable profits.

As mentioned above, the Expert Advisor is based on the channel Indicator, therefore Buy and Sell positions are opened only at the channel boundaries and are closed according to three possible conditions: at the channel median opposite the channel boundary or at a fixed Take Profit from the zero price formed as a result of opening new averaging positions. However, when employing a strategy that closes positions at the median, prolonged price movements with incorrect multiplier and step settings may result in closing positions at a loss. To avoid this, I recommend using a fixed TP or closing at the upper level, and, in testing, pre-selecting the multiplier, step and fixed Take Profit (if you do use it) taking into account the desired drawdown and profit criteria that suits you.

To select the desired condition, enable it in the settings:

• Strategy 1 (High Level) - Closes positions at the opposite channel boundary.
• Strategy 2 (Median) - Closes positions at the channel median (recommended for conservative trading, as price movements often reverse at the median).
• Use Take Profit - Closes positions at a fixed Take Profit.
• Fix Take Profit: This parameter defines the Take Profit target for remaining orders after a profitable closure, specified in pips.

It is possible to enable all three conditions simultaneously, but note that Strategy 1 (High Level) will not trigger, and the other two may function depending on market conditions.

• Use Time Control 1 and Use Time Control 2 (false/true): Specifies the operational time period during which the Expert Advisor will operate when set to “true.” If set to false, it will operate continuously.
• Lot Size: Sets the initial order size in lots.
• Multiplier: Sets the multiplier for subsequent orders.
• Step grid: Defines the distance after which subsequent positions will be opened based on the Multiplier condition.

This advisor features a comprehensive trading panel that displays key information for traders, including:

• Ticker of the traded instrument.
• Count of open BUY and SELL orders.
• Current unrealized drawdown or profit, color-coded for easy interpretation.
• Fixed profit amounts for the current day, week, and month.
• Buttons for manually closing all open BUY or SELL orders.
• Option to display information on all symbols.
• Magic Number: If using multiple instruments on the same terminal, each must be assigned a unique number. Changing the Magic Number after positions have been open will cause the Expert Advisor to reset and work independently of the previous positions.
• Font size allows the adjustment of font size on the Expert Advisor panel.
