How to Enable News Sentiment Integration

Gladius EA Advanced can filter trades based on real-time news sentiment from Alpha Vantage. This adds an extra layer of confirmation for smarter entries.

Step 1: Get Your Free/Premium Alpha Vantage API Key

1. Go to Alpha Vantage.
2. Sign up for a free account.
3. Copy your API Key.

Step 2: Allow WebRequests in MetaTrader

1. In MT4, go to: Tools → Options → Expert Advisors.
2. Tick “Allow WebRequests for listed URL”.
3. Add this URL (replace [dot] with '.'): https://www[dot]alphavantage[dot]co 

Step 3: Configure EA Settings

In the EA Inputs:

• UseNewsConfirm → true (to enable news filter).
• NewsHardConfirm → false (The EA still fetches news and checks sentiment, but it only blocks trades when the news is actively opposite to your technical signal. If news is neutral or unavailable, the EA will continue trading based on technical signals).
• AV_APIKey → Paste your API key.
• AV_SymbolXAUUSD → XAUUSD (for Gold).
• AV_Topics → gold (e.g., Financial Markets ).
• SentimentLookbackHours → Default 24 (last 24 hours).
• SentimentBuyThreshold → 0.15 (bullish bias).
• SentimentSellThreshold → -0.15 (bearish bias).
